"Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends...."

I have always loved music. I started in the 5th grade at Brown Elementary in Hilliard, Ohio with the trombone which I continued until I graduated from high school. I also took piano lessons for a few years but quit when I was 13. What a huge mistake. Like alot of people I know today, I wish I would have stuck with it. During my senior year of high school, my parents got my youngest brother a drum set and I was hooked !! I have never taken a lesson but love to play.

A few years ago my brother switched to an electronic drum set and I inherited his acoustic set. Some new drum heads, a few repairs and hardware replacement along with the addition of a few drums, cymbals and other percussion instruments have turned the simple 5 piece set into this. It is alot of fun to play !!

I still enjoy live music and go to concerts when ever possible. I was 16 when I went to my first concert. RUSH played at the old Coliseum in downtown Columbus, Ohio and it was awesome! Since then I have seen many shows-Ted Nugent, AC/DC, REO Speedwagon, Elton John, Motley Crue, Ratt, Joe Satriani, ELP, Journey, Kansas and Queenryche to name a few. But my favorite band is still RUSH and I have been to so many of their shows I have lost count!!

Things have changed alot since I bought my first vinyl record in 1974. Vinyl is rare these days and even CD's are being replaced by IPods and MP3 players. Now, even cell phones hold several songs in digital format ! What's next ??

Here are some links to a few excellent music related sites. Enjoy !
